Okay, that's cool.
Now for the acid3 test...

Well, early days yet.
I hope they do release IE8 in a state where it can do the above properly. It would make me and a lot of other people happy.

I like this very much.
It's an Activity.
They
are installed to the browser through a simple xml file, which tells IE8
what web service to call, and what parameters it expects. The rest
'just works'. No third party client-side code at all.
Select some text, hover over the button to get the content without ever leaving the page.

Check out that mad shit!
Yes. Yes. Yes.

Removing Vista SP1, assuming that I had an RC still or something I managed to get IE8 to install.
Basically, it's like IE7 - but a little bit faster. I'd hit the acid tests but they appear to have gone down for some reason. (All those people with IE8 and the same mindset as me perhaps..)
I think the Javascript implementation is being a bit dodgy, things seem a bit laggy on JS enabled pages.
I really like the Activities, and I really rather like the Page Slices. Both of which I can see some real use for in both my own projects and the MeAggregator.
All my web pages seem to be rendering as expected, which is good.
Seems rather stable too, not bad for a Beta 1...
