What a giant heap of man wank. This movie seems to have been made for the sole purpose of allowing socially estranged geeks to engage in what can only be described as a mass circle jerk. Everybody on the internet seems to be giving this movie rave reviews for some reason. Maybe it's just because people want to seem cool by joining in with this whole "Graphic novel" nonsense (They're comics, OK!?), but at the end of the day - what the movie is based on is irrelevant. It was virtually unwatchable. It was rushed and badly acted; Because the ending was pretty much guaranteed, the experience can only really be compared to watching a train wreck in slow motion, with less character development, less plot and a lack of pretty much anything other than blood and guts. The guys who made this movie were obviously taking themselves far too seriously because they tried far too hard with making it look all artsy without actually focusing the content. They should have either concentrated on what was good (the combat, insurmountable odds), or they should have actually made an effort when it came to character development and story. It's no use just pretending =/I'd give it a 2/5, if only because once they got fighting it was quite entertaining if not a bit repetitive.
